Welcome to Andrea's House, a transitional living program designed to support women and their children recovering from substance use disorders and trauma. Our mission is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that encourages personal growth, empowers our clients to achieve long-term sobriety, and helps them heal from the trauma that often accompanies addiction.

Remembering God's promise and acting on it in her life, Carleah Summers founded Andrea's House: Transitional Living For Women and Children, a faith-based residential program in Frederick, MD, in March 2019. Applying her education, knowledge and years of experience in the Addiction and Recovery field as well as her deep and abiding faith in God as a mother in long term recovery, she aspires to empower women recovering from substance use disorders while doing so with their children.

At Andrea's House,
we understand that addiction is often rooted in trauma, and we offer specialized support to help our clients heal from those underlying wounds. We work closely with local community agencies to provide our clients with all the necessary resources they need to become effective mothers and achieve their goals. Our comprehensive program includes case management, individualized treatment plans, meditation, mindfulness, and yoga.

At Andrea's House, we understand how difficult it is to face life after overcoming substance abuse and trauma. We offer comfort and support to our clients, knowing that they need not recover alone. As a transition program, we strive to provide a safe and healing environment that encourages personal growth and long-term sobriety. We are dedicated to helping the women and children in our program to heal and attain the full potential of their recovery. Our program’s resources and guidance help make this process easier, so that each individual can take the steps necessary to find lasting freedom and contentment.
